Uhm, some stuff that I have help deal with happened today that’s going to keep me busy for awhile. That’s probably going to delay my insta debut.
It has to do with my dad’s passing, with relatives and legal stuff. We’re talking to a lawyer tomorrow, so maybe it’ll be resolved then, Idk. I just wanted to give you a heads up if I’m quiet for awhile, not to worry.
Btw, it’s not that I’m using some sort of workaround, they updated the site and you can upload from your computer now. It’s the square icon with a + in the center up at the top of the screen.

I also hope that the terrible heat hasn’t completely wilted you. Seeing on the news that triple-digit temps are widespread out West, and fires are threatening homes.

We had a really long stretch of triple number heat, most of it was 110 or higher! There are some fires in the area, but far enough away that we only get a little bit of smoke if the conditions are right.
Still prepping for my Insta debut, Mac is going to help me, he said he had some tips for me but he’s away right now, so I’m waiting for him to get back. I did build something else though, it’s a hamster 😀

I did find out something really exciting yesterday that I didn’t know! I found out that my Valentine’s Day Puppies were featured on the Lego Korea Insta! I had no idea they did, I just stumbled across it yesterday 😀

I was wondering if the creators of projects on Ideas are notified when someone supports the project but doesn’t leave a comment saying they did so. My art site does that, when someone ‘likes’ a drawing, but there aren’t thousands of members like on Ideas, so I doubt it’s feasible.
Hurricane Elsa came through here on July 9th and dumped about 5″ of rain on us, but no high winds, thank goodness. And it’s been raining off and on ever since, with some severe thunderstorms ~ one of the wettest Julys on record and no sign of it stopping any time soon.
We didn’t do anything on the 4th either. I saw The Winter Soldier a while back, and enjoyed it.
Watched some movies on Netflix recently that were interesting ~ ‘Gunpowder Milkshake’ was about a group of women who took on the members of a Company of really bad killers and the women were badass fighters! Kind of like a Superheroes type of movie. Reminded me of Quentin Tarantino’s movies ~ like ‘Kill Bill’. Weird and mind-bending.

It’s still hot here, with this weekend getting hotter, oof! We’ve got some wildfires in another county, I can hear the fire planes going by during the day, Thankfully, no smoke has made it here, so the air is pretty clean right now. I’m glad to hear you got some sunshine, I wish we would get some rain here, everything is so dry and brown looking here.
We’ve got a momma deer here with twins! I saw her yesterday with one of her babies, the little guy has grown since I last saw him, he’s even lost his white spots now. They live under this wild apple tree we have out in the middle of our field. The tree is so cool, the branches go all the way to the ground, it looks more like a ginormous apple bush that a tree, but underneath, I had hollowed it out so one can go in under it, like a secret hide out. The deer love that tree and live under it every year, often with their babies.
I’ve been doing a lot of MOC building lately, so I will be posting more at Insta, including a AJR MOC that my friend Az says if I tag them, they might actually see it! I’d just die if they saw one of my MOCs, that would be just the coolest!

One of those 5 Degrees of Separation things ~ where everyone is connected to someone famous through five other people. So if your AJR MOC gets seen by them, even I’m in the list because I know you! I’m not explaining very well, but hopefully you might know about this effect anyway. 😛
Things are still really bad out West with the fires and extreme heat ongoing. I certainly hope you’re doing alright where you live! I feel guilty about my weather, which is almost perfect.
We also have deer with their fawns. I’ve never seen a full grown buck though. 😦

Yeah, there’s a few fires going on right now, I hear the fire planes flying overhead often. No worries though, they’re in another county so all we get is the smoke from them. That hasn’t been too bad either, we can see it way up in the sky but there’s not a lot of smoke smell from it. There was a lot of it yesterday evening though, it covered the sky so much it blocked out the sun, which made it way cooler temp wise, the only upside to having fires and smoke.
I’m so glad you’ve like seeing my MOCs over at Insta, the frustrating part is though, my camera decided to stop working right, so it’ll probably be a while before I post anything else. I don’t know what’s wrong with it, it had been acting up for a while now. When I turn it on, it has a black screen, I would just click to take a pic and then the camera would start working again but a couple of days ago, it just stays black no matter what I do. The screen actually works, I can see past pics and the menu, I think it’s the camera part that something’s wonky.
I’ve been seeing those baby deer more lately, they’re continuing to grow, almost not being able to see their white spots anymore. With the drought going on, we’ve been leaving a tub of water out for, well really all the wildlife, so everyone can have water to drink.

i have a question for you: Are some of the people who comment on your Instagram posts members of Ideas? If so, what are their tags ~ And have they posted a creation on there? I’d love to give them a ‘support’! There have been a lot of really good projects lately, and it’s nice to see many TFOLs still interested in Lego.
I hope you can get your camera fixed soon! You’ll most likely have to bring it to a camera repair shop. 😦 Of course this happens when you want to use it the most! I check Insta almost every day and when you post again, I’ll be sure to see it.

Thanks for the link ~ I looked at quite a few of the Contest entries he did, and am impressed by his photography skills. And I agree with you ~ the microscale treehouse is great! He hasn’t done a project recently, but he should ~ something from LoTR or Star Wars maybe, as he seems like a real fan of both! Ah, but Lego won’t allow projects from SW anymore, will they? 😦

YAY! Today is National Left Hander Day, Happy Left Hander Day! 😀
Yeah, Mac loves doing photography, I passed along to him what you said and he was so happy, he wanted me to tell you that he really appreciated it!
I haven’t done much of anything fun this week, mostly working around the place, trying to not breathe in too much of the smoke. I wear a mask for it, but that makes it hard to breathe in general, so it’s a lose/lose no matter what 😀
I saw the baby deer yesterday, the one was really close by and didn’t spook when he saw me. We leave a tub of water out for the wildlife during the summer, and he went and took a big drink out of it! That’s the first time I got to see them actually use the tub of water we leave out for them, so that was so cool!
Oof, my garden didn’t do well at all this year, I only had two plants, a pumpkin and a tomato. Something came along the other week and ate the stalk of my pumpkin plant right at the base, so it killed it. My tomato is doing well, but it hasn’t produced a single tomato, maybe I was suppose to have two of them so they’d pollinate. I planted both from seeds and didn’t think I’d see anything from that, so next year I’ll know to plan better.
Oh, something exciting happened yesterday! I found out that AJR was premiering their newest music vid yesterday. When I went over to YT to see if they posted it yet, it was posted but it wasn’t live yet. They were going to host a premier event, meaning they had a set time they were going to release it and they had a live chat feed going in the meantime. The exciting part was there was someone there claiming they were Ryan! Someone made the comment where was Adam and Ryan said that he’d go and call him, then someone claiming to be Adam showed up! I say claim because I’m not really sure it was really them, but then again, I’m not really sure it wasn’t them, so it’s fun to think it was them, that I got that close to them, that maybe they saw my comment!

Not surprised that your garden didn’t fare well this year, between the drought and whatever critter ate your pumpkin stalk! Perhaps the tomato plant only produces the tomatoes after the first year? I’ve never grown them from seeds before, only from the plants I’ve gotten from a garden store and for potted, deck plants, not into a garden situation.
I can’t imagine how difficult it is for you with the smoke from the fires being ever-present! Just be very cautious and only spend as little time outside as you can, please! And now, with the Covid virus surging again all over the world, it feels like we’re stuck in a never-ending horror movie. 😦

I haven’t gotten my camera fix yet, and probably won’t for a long time. I live in a really small town, we’d have to go to another town to get it fixed, and to schedule two trips there right now would be pretty hard to do. I do have my dad’s camera, but I don’t like it, it so different than mine and I can’t make it work like I want it to, but at least I have one in case I need it.
I see you saw my AJR post, decided to post it last night on the spur of the moment. My friend Az gave me some tips to try to get their attention by @ at them 😀 I really don’t think they’ll see it, much less give it a like or comment, but one never knows! 😀
Ugh, still really smoky and unhealthy air here. Another fire started a few days back, so that’s added to everything now. They’ve been breaking into the TV and posting those civil authorities alerts, you know with that really high pitch tone to get everyone’s attention. Even though the fire is no where near us, when they break in with that tone, it gets me each time!
I had a really busy week last week, this week will hopefully be more calm and I can get to building something. I’m itching to build again, just need an idea of what to do.
Have you been watching Lego Masters? Last week’s episode was so good, the whole season has been good really. They built working puppets and wow, they made some really cool looking ones!
I’ve been starting to prepare for my Holiday village setup, just prepping though, not setting it up this early 😀 Made some new friends over at Discord, so I’ll probably be adding them to it, so I need to make their sig figs up. I also need to think of new stuff to add to it. I’ve been adding stuff that was meaningful to it, like last year, I added a waffle stand with a jar of mayo, a joke that Brix and I had fun with last year.

Hi Twiggy! I can imagine how scary that alert on the TV is! Hopefully it will never be for your area, but it’s wise to pay attention anyway.
We had a tornado warning the other day ~ it was right over the town next to us and we were in the track it was taking ~ thankfully it didn’t touch down and petered out quickly. But then we had a hurricane a few days later (Henri) and alto we didn’t get the 70 mph winds, we did get the torrential rain for 2 days straight. And there were 3 tornadoes that caused damage in my State, too.
I don’t watch Lego Masters, but those puppets sound awesome! Wish I’d tuned in for that episode.
I can understand the difficulty of having to make special trips to another town to get your camera fixed. Do the best you can with your Dad’s one ~ once you get used to it, it might be easier to use. 🙂

Sorry it’s been a while since I commented, Verizon went out in my area for a time and I couldn’t get on the internet 😦
I’ve been busy building, I’ve got two friends with birthdays coming up in a few weeks, so I thought I’d build them something and make instructions for it. It’s going to be a lot of work, so I hope I get it done in time!
The smoke’s been better here, it’s still smoky but yesterday things seemed a lot clearer. There’s definitely a feel for fall in the air here too! Yesterday morning when I went out to do my chores, it actually felt too cool to be wearing shorts out. It feels like summer just flew by, I’m looking forward to the cooler weather though, it’s been a very hot and dry summer here.
I’m starting to see some of the seasonal sets that are going to be available this year and they look really cool! The most recent leak was of a brick built sleigh with a santa minifig and molded reindeer. They’re thinking it’s going to cost around $35-$40, so it sounds like it’s going to be a bigger build than most of the smaller seasonal sets but thankfully, it’s not going to be too expensive.
My friend Op started hosting contests over at Mecabricks and I entered one. We were suppose to build something to do with the word Bright, so I interpreted bright as in smart and I built a Einstein Brickheadz along with some accessories. I’m so proud of myself, the guys are always making custom prints for stuff there and I was able to make a custom print and apply it all by myself, I didn’t get any help from the guys on how to do it! I don’t know if you have a MB account, but here’s a link so you can see it. If you can’t see it, let me know and I’ll post a screenshot over at bricksafe. I want to post a pic over at Insta, I have to ask one of the guys I hang out with if it’s possible to do that and how 😀

I looked at the MB link and saw your Einstein build on Insta too, and left a comment! Your interpretation of ‘bright’ was genius ~ i doubt anyone else entered a build like yours! That photo of the ship with his equation spelled out with sailors standing at attention wearing their caps was impressive! :O
Sounds as though you’ll be very busy building birthday gifts (with instructions even!) You’re always doing something nice for your friends ~ I hope they know how lucky they are!

I haven’t seen any of the Lego holiday sets, but the one you described sounds cute.
You remember that cow/dino project that was posted a long time ago? Unfortunately it expired the other day with more than 3K supports. (You & I were 2 of them) A shame, because the creator did such a great job designing the build. That’s what happens when the project doesn’t stay in the public view. 😦

We’re finally starting to get some rain here…well hopefully!
There’s rain in the forecast for this weekend. Not only will that water everything that’s in desperate need but it’ll wash the air out of all the smoke. I’ve been busy in my free time prepping for it, it always takes a lot of time to do that for the first good rain fall.
I finished both presents for my friends and made instructions for one, still have to make instructions for the other though. I’ve been using the digital designer to make them, that’s been a lot easier that way than with my camera.
I haven’t built anything new, I haven’t had any really good inspirations. I guess creative types hit this wall occasionally, always frustrates me when it happens when I’m in the mood to build and I have no creative ideas 😀
I have been doing something fun though the last few days. A couple of my Discord friends like to play chess and there’s a chess site that they play on. They invited me to play against them and I really like playing against them. The friend I played against last evening, we had so much fun! We played 3 games, I lost 2 but won 1, we’re actually pretty evenly matched, skill wise. The last game we played was so epic! It kept going back and forth who would win, he did, but it was really close and it was a lot of fun 😀
Hopefully with the rain this weekend, I’ll get some inspiration and will be building some things since I’ll be inside. I do have an idea for a Christmas MOC display that I started to build that I’d like to put out for this year, I might try working on that again.

I never learned how to play chess ~ checkers is more my speed! 😛 I heard that more girls have become interested in chess since ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ aired on Netflix. Sounds as though you’re having a good time playing it with your Discord friends, and congratz for the win! 😀
I’d say that 3/4 of the Ideas posts lately have been entries into the ’20 Years of Lego Harry Potter’ contest. Some of them are quite inspired ~ it’ll be interesting to see which creations win!
There have also been some really super projects though, that have a good chance of hitting the 10K
mark rather quickly.
Hope you get the rain, for both the vegetation’s sake and clearing the air of smoke. Plus it’ll give you the opportunity to build something. 🙂
All is well here, and the weather has definitely turned Fall-ish. Even some tinges of color in the leaves, but no real changes occur until October, when the trees become gorgeous!

The leaves are just starting to turn here too! We have sycamore trees around our house, they’re really tall, 100 feet at least and they drop A LOT of leaves in the fall to rake up 😀 We didn’t get a lot of rain but I’m certainly glad for the cooler weather, the heat has finally broken!
Something happened the other day, my mom was raking along the side of the house and her foot went down, breaking the ground a bit, There is this HUGE underground yellowjacket’s nest there and a bunch of them swarmed and attacked her. She only got a couple of stings and they’re already gone, she was really lucky she didn’t get more. I hung out a couple of traps and I guesstimate that they’ve caught probably close to 100 so far and there’s still so many more to catch. They’ve been stirred up because there’s this big hole now as their entrance so we can’t get close to do anything to the nest itself. I can’t wait until they’re all caught and I can get a good look at what this underground nest looks like 😀
Well, some of the new Lego seasonal sets became available last night and I got Santa’s sled and the Penguin sets! I can’t wait to be able set everything up again, really looking forward to setting my village up this year!
Not much more happened this last week, I haven’t built anything, I need to get some inspiration. Hope things are going great your way and that you and yours are safe, healthy and happy!

ooh ~ I’m glad your mom wasn’t stung too many times! Even people who haven’t had bad reactions to stings before, can have severe ones, when they’re attacked by a swarm of bees. Stay away from that nest ~ from the number you’ve caught so far it must be HUGE! There could be thousands underground! :O
I saw both of those Lego seasonal sets ~ they’re really cute and will look great in your village display!
The news the other day had a ‘whistleblower’ from Facebook and Instagram on, saying how those platforms are bad for teen girls and make them feel bad about themselves and can cause eating disorders, and suicidal thoughts! I’m not on Facebook, so I don’t know about the content posted there. And the only posts I look at on Insta are artworks/drawings from people I follow. Social media seems toxic, though, and parents should definitely limit their teens exposure to it!
Definite chill in the air at night now ~ down into the 40’s, but back up to the 60’s and 70’s during the day when it’s sunny that is. Have had a lot of rain over the past week, with more predicted for the weekend.
Hope you can get inspired to build something new, Twiggy. I have no desire to be creative ~ my pixel art site has gone down in flames and nobody can draw anymore since Flash expired.
Maybe when Winter comes, and we’re burning the woodstove again I’ll be more in the mood to make a papermache sculpture ~ I can hang wet pieces above the stove to dry them.
I’ve started watching Seinfeld on Netflix ~ it’s been years since I saw it, so it feels new again and just as funny as I remember it as being!

Yeah, I’m staying well clear of that nest, they’re still a bunch of them going in and out of the opening. I caught a bunch of them, but with the cooler weather, it’s slowed down a lot. They die off in the first frost, so hopefully I’ll be able to get to the hole and just dump a bunch of dirt on top to seal it off.
I love Seinfeld! When my dad would come in off the road, I’d have a bunch of episodes saved up that I would record, that would watch together. We had the same sense of humor, so we would be completely cracking up over some of the stuff from that show 😀
One of my friends suggested, because of Spooktober, I should try to build a spider, in my cute style. I’ve been building, but haven’t made too much progress, those legs are hard to figure out 😀 I wished I got it built, I think I could have easily adapted it to fit this week’s activity over at Ideas. If I do get it built, I’ll be posting it over at Insta though, so you’ll be able to see it.
The weather really has cooled down here too. It’s nicefeeling comfortable when going outside now! I’ve even noticed the family of deer that’s been staying with us all summer are out now more, enjoying the beautiful weather.
I’m still getting so excited for the holiday season approaching! My friend Az has been hinting around that he has some sort of surprise for us on a server that I’m on. He keeps using words like, insane, and epic, but it keeps getting delayed. I keep telling him it’s driving me crazy wondering what it’s going to be, it’s really is like waiting for Christmas morning! 😀
I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but I start to want to crochet. Brix found me a crochet pattern of a Baby Yoda last year. I started it but never finished it, so I’ve been thinking about finishing it.

It’s gotten really chilly here, with the first frost possible soon. Right now we’re having a lot of rain being caused by the same type of air currents that you’re getting.
You should finish that crochet of Baby Yoda this Fall ~ it’s the cool weather that prompts you to do something with yarn!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
I’m so excited to get that set for my mom, I get to order it tonight! Well, hopefully tonight, I have a feeling it’s going to sell out fast maybe, so I hope there’s no problem getting it.
Az’s surprise didn’t happen, and he said it won’t anytime in the near future. I’m really disappointed, I had an idea of what, well I should say who it was going to be as soon as he first mentioned it. I tried really hard not to think about it, I didn’t want to get my hopes up, but I couldn’t help think about it the whole week I was waiting. The fact that Az hasn’t told us what it was gives me hope that it’s still going to happen further down the road, and if it is who I think it is, it really is going to be the epic surprise he’s been saying it’s going to be.
The leaves are starting to really turn here and falling! We’ve been getting rain here too, which is good, it’s been cleaning the air and watering everything after a long, hot, dry summer.

Halloween came and went, with no trick or treaters ringing the doorbell. There aren’t any young kids in the neighborhood, and the house is set back so far from the road and the driveway is steep and dark, so it’s too scary! Oh well, I got to eat Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and TikTac Bars, so all is good! 😀
Not much going on here. Getting really chilly, so had to bring in the potted plants to keep them from being frost-bitten.
Too bad Az didn’t get around to the epic surprise! Perhaps he will eventually.
Hope you’re able to get the Home Alone set ~ Lego keeps advertising it in emails, so it must be still available!
I saw your cute spider on Insta ~ a black widow huh? scary!
The last activity Ideas did ~ a one-button game, didn’t have too many participants. The Fender Guitar one really inspired a lot of people to do something for it!
Now there’s one for a micro Titanic build ~ Should be interesting to see what people come up with.

My AJR post did so much better than I thought, it’s gotten the most likes I’ve ever gotten, 44! I think that’s because a guy put it on his Insta story. I have a plan for another AJR posting that I’m working on right now. It’s a larger project, recreating certain scenes from one of their music vids, so there’s a lot of building that has to be done 😀 Hopefully this plan will get the guys in AJR’s attention and they’ll see it!
I see the activity for this week, well they have this one for the next two weeks! I usually enter the build to give activity, so I want to for this one too, although it’s going to be a challenge to come up with cool star builds 😀 I might post some star builds on my insta page too, I see it counts if you hashtag it, so I might get some more traffic to my page that way.
I bought the Home Alone set, I bought it the minute it became available and I’m glad I did! Just 2 days and it went on 60 days backorder status, which means anyone getting it then would get it after the holidays, and it sold out like on the 3rd or 4th! I’m so glad it’s doing so well, that was created by adwind, Idk if you remember that member over at Ideas.
I’ve also started my holiday shopping, I know it seems early, but everything has been taking a lot longer to ship and arrive and I usually like to get the bulk of my stuff done before the black friday shipping chaos 😀 I did get the coffee cart promo last night! It looks so cool and I think it’ll be a great fit in the holiday village! Which reminds me, I really need to work on that desk I display it on, I need to make a top for it so I can really use the empty space that’s beyond the actual desk.
I’m so looking forward to black friday, I save up for it all year, sticking a little bit of money back each month. I haven’t heard what Lego’s Brick Friday promo is going to be or the details. That is disappointing to me, I save up for it, so the amount isn’t really the problem, but I would like to know how much we need to buy to get it so I can plan on what I want to get and backups, in case stuff is sold out. Idk why they’re doing it that way, they usually reveal it on the store calendar, why it has to be such a secret. I also like to hit Target online for black friday, they always have a really great movie sale and their graphic Ts are on sale too!
The weather is getting cooler here, almost feels like it wants to freeze, which I’m hoping is going to be soon, ngl. Once that freeze happens, I’ll probably be able to get up close to that yellow jacket hive and seal it off with some dirt. It’s close to our propane tank and the guy that delivers the gas came a couple of weeks ago, which I was really hoping he wouldn’t until after the freeze. We warned him about the hive and he was so glad we did, he said he didn’t like bees or insects that sting, thankfully nothing came after him.
Leaves are falling like mad here, we have 3 huge sycamore trees around our house, so it keeps me busy all winter raking them up 😀
I hope you and yours are doing great and are safe! Has the fall colors happen you way, the New England fall always looks so beautiful! Have you done any artwork lately? It’s been so long since I’ve seen any of your work, I miss that.

Not all the trees have changed color yet, but those that did weren’t very spectacular ~ mostly rust-colored. The weather guy said it was due to the amount of rain we’ve had this year, and some disease that’s killed off a lot of maple trees ~ our main colors are from those. One of our maples might be infected, as it lost its leaves early, but the tree itself looks okay ~ can only hope it is. 😦
When you’re able to fill in that hive, you should put some heavy concrete blocks over the area, too. After all, the yellow jackets dug their way into the packed earth and loose dirt won’t do much to keep them in there next Spring!
I’m glad you got the Home Alone set so your mom should be really pleased. Will she build it by herself, or will you join in for the fun, too?
I saw how many ‘likes’ your AJR build got on Insta and look forward to seeing the larger ones you’re planning!
I really don’t know how many different styles of stars can be done with Lego, but I know you’ll make a great one, and the activity will bring joy to many kids this holiday!

Oof, I didn’t get anything submitted for the activity yet, I just haven’t had the time to focus on it. I really want to enter though, it’s for a really good cause. The bad thing is, is that I took a look at the ones already entered, and someone had the same idea as I did about the star, and they did thier’s way better, so I’m probably going to post that one on Insta with the build to give tag.
Made a little progress on my AJR MOC, mostly fixing up the minifigs. I was going to work on it Sunday but our power went out for several hours, so I couldn’t! I did work on making a top for that big desk I put my holiday display on last year though. There’s a lot of space around the desk, and we have a sheet of sheetrock here that we’re not going to use, so I cut that to extend past the desk, so I’ll have more room this year.
UGH!! I’ve been waiting to see not only what the holiday promo is going to be, but what the target price is and they released the details this morning. Usually the target price is $99 but last year it was $120, so I was pretty sure it was going to be around that, but I was shocked to see what it’s going to be $170!! They’re going to have a promo stack, meaning they have another promo going on at the same time, but its target price is $250! But wait, there’s more, the promo is going to happen this weekend on the 20th instead of Thanksgiving weekend, so I have little time to figure out what I’m going to do, which sets I want to get. The promo is pretty neat though, the $170 promo is called Santa’s Front Yard, which is of a elf feeding a brick built reindeer in a winter scene vignette and the $250 one is of this really cool vintage tin Lego sign. There are so many sets retiring that I want to get, so it’s going to be hard to figure out what to get in that little amount of time.
The weather continues to be pleasant, we’ve had both some rain and sunshine. The leaves continue to fall like mad, they’re really starting to pile up in the yard, plenty of raking to do 😀
My mom’s cat has been sick for the past few weeks, she had a bad tooth. She got really pulled down from it, but I’ve been working on her, feeding her by hand liquids to keep her hydrated and fed. She’s doing better now thank goodness! She’s really old, so I don’t know if she’ll fully recover, but she definitely feels way better and starting to eat and drink on her own now.
I can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here! The Home Alone set arrived and it’s even better than I thought! I haven’t put it together yet, I’m going to do that on Thanksgiving while watching the parade and I told my mom we’re going to have to put on Home Alone to watch too while I’m building! 😀 I couldn’t help it though, I did open it and look at the instructions and the sticker sheets. It has so many details and easter eggs from not only the first movie, but the second as well!

Sorry to hear about your mom’s cat not being well ~ I hope she’ll improve and be all right soon.
I think we may have lost the one cat we still had ~ Hal. He didn’t show up yesterday like he usually does, and no sign of him yet today either, even with calling him every hour. 😦
Will not give up on him until it becomes obvious that he won’t return. Outdoor cats are always at risk from the coyotes here, or big dogs that might venture into our yard, so that’s always a possibility, unfortunately. 😦
So you’re an accomplished sheetrock worker too, huh? Glad you were able to get more space to display your holiday MOC!
I’ve only seen a few of the stars that people have posted ~ one that was really clever used Brick Separators for the arms of the star, that he said were collecting in a drawer so he was glad to find a good use for them! (ponyrapter)
You’ll have a great time building the Home Alone set together ~ and watching the movie at the same time is a fun idea! Maybe you should just supervise your mom and give her helpful hints, so she’ll really feel ‘connected’ to it, just like the bricks! 😀
We’re staying home for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, so it’ll be sad to not see the rest of the family, but they did come for a visit last weekend, which was nice. 🙂

I did a lot of online shopping this week, got some really good deals! I look forward to this each year, so much so, I put aside a little bit of money each month for it. Talk more about that tomorrow.

I hit some more great deals this weekend! I found what could be my new favorite shopping site, a store called GameStop. It had a great sale on graphic tees, over half off!
I got the Home Alone set put together, it is so cool! I have a couple sets that are bigger than that one, piece wise, but this one took me longer to put together for some reason. The amount of detail they put into that set is just amazing, you just can’t take in all the easter eggs they put in from both movies! It was a really fun build and it looks great, we still have to pick out a place to display it for the holidays.
I got a bunch of building done too on my holiday village! I just have one more building to build and a bunch of setting up to do with arranging where everything will go and putting all the people and setting up scenes. It is so much fun to do this, I made a top for the desk I’m setting it up on, so it would extend past past the desk and make use of the empty spots around the desk. It gave me a ton of space, more than last year, so it’s not feeling so crowded and I was able to get the fire station into the display, the first time I’ve been able to get it in. The only down side is that I didn’t get any new sets to go into it, the Elf Clubhouse and Santa’s Visit House have been sold out whenever I’ve been able to buy stuff!
I still got more Christmas shopping to do and around $15 more in my Black Friday fund, I set aside a little money each month for these sales 😀
I watched the parade, I saw the Lego float, it’s pretty cool they reused the Turkey Dragon display again. I was hoping that AJR would perform again in the parade, they did last year, but they didn’t.

You have your work cut out for you, building and displaying the Holiday Village, and it’s great that you’ve created more space so you can include the Fire Station this year. Sorry you weren’t able to get the 2 sets you wanted, but perhaps after the New Year Lego will offer them again?

I am so sorry to hear about you losing Hal 😦 It’s never easy losing a pet, especially for people like us, that consider them part of the family. I know you guys take great care of your cats, so Hal had a really great and happy life!
Our cat sadly passed away the other morning. She went peacefully at home, which I’m glad it went like that.
I saw the new Creator Modular building, it’s a hotel! It sort of puts me in mind though of one that one of the Ideas guys made, I can’t remember if it was BrickyBrick or Bricked 1980. It looks really cool though, has a Caribbean look to the architecture imo.
The big wave of new Lego sets is about to be released in Jan. I didn’t see too much that wowed me, but there were a lot of Star Wars sets I did see that I want. They’re Hoth scenes and I can use those minifig for my village next year!
Speaking of my village, it’s coming along great! I had the idea of adding one of the Ninjago’s dragons to it, an Ice dragon! My friend MOCmaster loves Ninjago, so I wanted to put him in the scene. He came up with the idea of adding a small fire dragon, and that just sparked a whole storyline for me!
Okay, so here’s the story: A baby fire dragon decides to visit the village to cause some chaos by melting all the snowmen! The dragon, being a baby, thinks the “fire” station would make a good place to roost. The ninja spot the dragon there and go to try to stop him from melting any more snowmen and take him back to his home in the mountains.
It’s not done yet, I still have one ninja to figure out something for him to do and I need to build a melted snowman yet 😀 I put a lot of detail in it though already, like Zane shooting a ice blast to stop the dragon’s fire blast, while Nya uses her water power to shoot up water from the hydrant. Jay and Cole are scaling up the front of the fire station, Cole of course free climbing. My friend MM I have riding atop of the Ice dragon! I’ll be sending more pics soon, I still haven’t finished setting everything up yet, hopefully I’ll be done in a few days 😀

Oh my word, I had just the most exciting thing happen this week!!
You know my AJR Christmas post over at Insta? Well, I not only tagged the guys but I tagged Ezra as well. If you don’t know who Ezra is, he’s AJR’s Lighting Director and in the Three O’Clock Things vid, he’s the one that replaced Jack in it, he’s the one wearing Jack’s hat in it. Well, just a couple of hours after I posted it, Ezra’s wife hit the like button, which means that Ezra totally saw it!! Who knows, it might have even come up as a topic of convo with the guys!! 😀 I’m so excited, I can’t believe it, that at the very least, I was 1 degree from AJR seeing one of my posts!! 😀
If you can believe it, I’m still working on getting that holiday village set up! I’ll have some pics soon, I want to make a digital album to hand out to everyone who was in it.
Well, Jack Frost finally started to nip at our noses here, the first frost hit yesterday! That means I could go out to that Yellow jacket nest a little more safely and seal it off, which I did with a paver like you suggested.
I’m going to be dropping back by here on Tues, I have a special surprise! So until then, stay safe Catz

The weather here is Damp/Dreary/and Dismal. Cold, but no snow yet, just a lot of drizzle. We do have our wood-burning stove running to help keep the house warmer than with just the furnace.
I’m looking forward to the surprise you mentioned ~ now the waiting begins!
Your holiday village must be getting huge to take so much time to set it up! I know it’ll be a fantastic display ~ you do some really great builds for it.

It’s no secret how much I love Christmas! I wanted to give a gift to all my friends this year, but with having friends that don’t celebrate the holiday, I began to think what to do about something so we could all celebrate together, so I came up with the idea of celebrating Winter Solstice!
